To Do list for TRIZ world wikiThis is a featured page

Here is a list of possible improvements noted by readers of this wiki:

Development of our Wiki (by Bill Fowlkes) We need to find our style and our hook that distinguishes this wiki from other Triz sites if it is to become self-sustaining (which I define as haveing enough contributors besides our self to keep the content fresh). Here are some thoughts:
1. Our Discussion Forum already has some interesting threads. I think that if the contributors to the triz list migrate to the wiki we will have a very robust discussion section. The question is how to get people to change. The triz mailing list is easier since it just pops up into everone's in basket.
2. The primary strength of Triz-journal.com is the monthly articles. They are generally of high quality, and there is even some review (not quite refereeing) and editing by the publisher. But we offer a site were people can post articles easily, get immediate feedback and on-line editing by the community. Here our hook is ease of posting and rapid feedback from the community. Of course that is predicated on there being a large number of reader/editors, so publicity (word of mouth and the triz forum for now) is needed to get to critical mass.
3. Lastly, we can try to better organize and provide non-copyrighted material for people to use. This can include advice, useful links, and tutorial material on Triz. I am going to work on this latter directly on the web site. I think the to-do list is a good tool, we can all post ideas for improving the site, and then work on them as time allows.
I'm not sure that the non-copyrighted material is the right emphasis--most TRIZ authors are very generous, and give permission to anyone who asks for the use of copyrighted materials. I've given permission hundreds of times for use of my TRIZ journal articles, and I've also gotten permission from dozens of other authors. So let's not get carried away with this.

Evoluton of Technical Systems
'The list of bullet points for LTSE would make much more sense for a novice if each one had a paragraph or even two, and maybe a link to even more detail.

In fact, we could invite readers to add "nascent" links when they WISH there were a link to something here. Perhaps we should use a key word like LINK-where? which could then be edited into any page where some reader would like to find a place where this point was discussed in more detail.

Links to other pages, especially pages outside this wiki, would be more useful if they had a few words or even a paragraph about what will be found at the linked page. There is a cost to wait for a page to load, so it would be good to have some clue about whether the wait will be worthwhile.

Add content: Links for books and articles and mailing lists Nitpicker says: 'We have here some links to web pages, but the page title does not restrict it in that way. Let's add books and other TRIZ resources, preferably with a paragraph or so about why one would want to follow that link.'

The process of working together and updating the wiki.

We need to define a process of how we will update the wiki. discuss, come to an agreement - where will the discussion be stored and finally how the wiki will be updated.

We will have situations where two strong willed people will duke it out and we will need an arbitration mechanism that will help resolve disagreements.

We also need a mechanism of refactoring the wiki as more and more data gets added.
